LOVELL ANNOUNCES NEXT PHASE OF HOMES IN CARLISLE
21 April 2016
A NEW wave of homes set for sale in Carlisle will be the next stage of a development that is transforming this part of the city.
Houses will initially be sold from the Parkside sales office, ahead of a new marketing suite for New Acres, which will open in the summer.
Clare Noakes, regional sales manager for Lovell in the North West, said: “Of the 44 homes at Parkside, only two remain for sale, it has been hugely popular. Much of the success has been due to the modern specification of the properties and its location on the edge of Heysham Park.
“New Acres will be a slightly larger development but one we envisage will be every bit as sought after.”
The development will include a range of two and three-bedroom semi-detached and detached properties, and is the next phase of Lovell’s long standing commitment to provide private sale and affordable homes in an area that has been rejuvenated in recent years.
Lovell was part of the Raffles Vision project team established in 2002 to revitalise the estate which has since benefited from a major £50m regeneration programme.
Working with the community and partners including Carlisle City Council, the company has seen the area transformed into a place people are now proud to call home, and on which eventually there will be 500 new homes, the majority of them private sale.
Clare added: “We are finally seeing the results of a massive project to change this area and it is amazing to see. Not only have we built homes, but we have supported local initiatives and community facilities, provided long term job opportunities for local contractors and suppliers and developed training and job opportunities.
“It is something we are very proud of.”
All 52 New Acres properties will have a high specification and combine a contemporary design with a high standard of build.
The development is close to Carlisle town centre, while nearby is a mile-long stretch of parkland providing residents with playgrounds and sporting facilities on their doorstep. The homes also benefit from easy access to good schools and the M6.
