Homes swiftly snapped up at new Werrington development

14 July 2016

A packed launch event for Lovell Homes’ brand-new Scholars Way development in Werrington, near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, saw homes quickly snapped up by impressed buyers.

Homeseekers queued for their first glimpse of the stylish development which is bringing high-quality two-, three- and four-bedroom homes to the village.

Four homes sold over the launch weekend with Lovell deciding to bring forward the release of the next phase of properties in response to demand.

“The launch was incredibly busy with people queuing to come in,” says Lovell field sales manager Jennie King. “Lots of people were local to the area or had come from nearby villages. The development’s mix of properties means it includes homes suitable for first-time buyers as well as larger houses ideal for families.

“With very little new-build housing being built locally, Scholars Way is bound to appeal to anyone who wants to stay in this area and also appreciates the convenience and chance to bring your own style to a property which only a brand-new home offers.

“We also enjoyed meeting a number of former pupils of the school – the former village primary school - which once stood on the development site and who were keen to look round and share their memories.”

Lovell unveiled two outstanding professionally styled show homes – the three-bedroom Westwood house type and the Fanceford Corner house type – at the launch event.

Following such a strong start to sales, the company currently has just a small number of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties available. Two-bedroom properties start from £139,950 (£111,960 after a Help to Buy: Equity Loan) for the popular semi-detached Weston house style, with parking while the three-bedroom detached Westwood house type, with garage, is available at £199,950 (£159,960 after a Help to Buy: Equity Loan).  Lovell also has only one Fanceford Corner four-bedroom detached house style, with garage, available at £249,950 (£199,960 after a Help to Buy: Equity Loan).

Help to Buy allows homebuyers to access a 20 per cent equity loan from the Government, which means they can move into a brand-new property with just a five per cent cash deposit and 75 per cent mortgage.

Located less than five miles from Hanley, Scholars Way is the perfect spot for commuters to Stoke-on-Trent or Newcastle-under-Lyme as well as being within ten miles of Junction 15 of the M6.  Leek is eight miles to the north and Ashbourne eighteen miles to the east. Werrington itself is a thriving community while if you like getting out into the great outdoors, Wetley Moor Common is just four miles north. The development is less than half a mile from Werrington Primary School and less than one-and-a-half miles from Moorside High School.
