Buying a new build home will save you money, says Yorkshire housebuilder

Homeowners in Yorkshire and Humber spend nearly £800 a year on home improvement, says a new report from Barbour ABI, though local housebuilder Lovell Homes believes that this annual expenditure could be eliminated through purchasing a new build home.

Britain’s Home Improvement Report 2016 looks at trends in planning for households across the country and is based on the number of planning applications for residential improvements received by each planning authority compared with the estimate for the number of private homes within that authority. The findings give an insight into the finances of the average homeowner via region and how much money they are likely to spend improving their home.

Couple that with budgeting for building modifications and the whole process becomes extremely daunting and full of uncertainty.
